Mono Design is a small graphic design business run by husband and wife team, Matt and Ruth Clare.

Because many of our clients are community-based and not-for-profit we are experienced at working in ways that don’t neatly fit under the heading of graphic design. We roll up our sleeves, share our ideas and work with you to achieve the best possible results for your business.

1996 Mono Design starts

1998 New studio around the corner in Fitzroy

2002 Finalists in the APA Book Design Awards

2004 Moved to Northcote and built new studio

2004 Ruth joined Mono Design

2006 Matt became president of Illustrators Australia

2006 Finalists in AGDA Design Awards

2007 Our daughter, Scarlett, is born

2007 Matt begins teaching design and illustration at Shillington College, NMIT and Chisholm

2008 Finalist again in APA Book Design Awards
