Gowanbrae Community Centre signage

Gowanbrae (from the Scottish gowan meaning ‘daisy’ and brae meaning ‘hillside’) is one of Melbourne's newest suburbs. Its state-of-the-art Community Centre was completed in 2011 and includes a child care centre, kindergarten, maternal and child health services and multi-purpose community rooms.

The brief was to create the branding and internal signage for the centre, including basic wayfinding, room numbering and identification. The logo symbol, referencing a daisy, provided a graphic starting point for the colours and symbols used throughout.
